ECB meeting to lay out plans for QE, and its not straightforward......

The Financial Times (Analysis - Capital markets p.30) looks at this week' European Central Bank meeting in Cyprus and expects it to reveal more details of the ECB's programme for Quantitative Easing, due to start this month. 

QE, the large-scale purchase of bonds and other financial assets designed to inject liquidity, counter deflation and stimulate demand, has proved effective in the past (in the US and UK, for example). But the FT points out that the ECB may have to be flexible and "box clever" to achieve its goals.
